Xiaomi is holding another press event on March 31 and the company says we can expect to see several new products unveiled. There’s no word on what exactly the Chinese upstart has planned, but based on recent leaks we already have a few ideas.
With the Apple Watch set to launch next month it may be time for Xiaomi to unveil its own smartwatch as well. Last we heard the company was working on a new wearable with a round display and a brushed metal build. The device could also come packed with sensors, including one for measuring your pulse. It’s expected to run a customized version of its own MiUI rather than Google’s Android Wear.
Xiaomi may also take the opportunity to roll out a new mid-range smartphone. Recent leaks suggest the company could be prepping a 4.9-inch handset with a 1080p display, a Snapdragon 615 processor, a 12-megapixel rear camera, a 4.8-megapixel front-facing shooter and 2GB of RAM. The new phone is expected to run an updated version of MiUI built on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop.
Of course, Xiaomi may also announce something completely unexpected. The company likes to throw big events with choreographed product reveals, so don’t be surprised if we get “one more thing” on March 31.
