HTC One E9 press renders leak, announcement imminent

HTC One E9 and One E9+ have been in our rumor section for quite some time. We recently learned that the HTC A55 we thought is the One E9 is actually the One E9+ and it was quietly revealed by HTC China ahead of its debut on April 8 in Beijing.

HTC One E9+ is powered by a 64-bit MediaTek MT6795M chipset with octa-core CPU, 2GB RAM, and 16GB of expandable storage. It features a 13 MP camera at the back and 4MP UltraPixel camera at the front.

Now, back to the HTC One E9. It is rumored to pack a lower resolution display and camera - it should feature a 5.0" or 5.5" 1080p display and a 13MP rear camera. Previous rumors suggest a Snapdragon 810 chip instead of MediaTek, but this is yet to be confirmed.

Today we got some leaked press renders of the HTC One E9 for you, courtesy of @upleaks. The device looks identical to the HTC One E9+ though this is hardly a surprise - a big display at front, stereo BoomSound speakers and a plastic rear panel.

Press photos of the HTC One E9+ leak

HTC is finding it extremely hard to keep its One E9 and One E9+ under wraps. ISeveral rumors and leaks have given us almost all the information about these handsets.

Now the purported press images of the One E9+ have surfaced online. They reconfirm the design of the smartphone and reveal that it will come in Gunmetal Gray, Space gray with Gold accent and White with Rose Gold accents.

Bearing close similarity with the One M9+, the new One E9+ features a 5.5-inch Quad HD display, MediaTek MT6795 chipset with octa-core CPU, 3 GB RAM and 20MP rear camera with LED flash.

We expect the One E9+ to be officially launched next month.

HTC One E9 and One E9+ coming soon, rumored specs in tow

HTC One E9 has been in our rumored section for quite a while. It leaked with specs and live picturesnumerous times, but as it turns out the leaked device was actually an upcoming HTC One E9+ model.

HTC One E9 (A53), according to the popular @upleaks tipster, will pack a 1080p display and a 13MP rear snapper. There is no info on the display size, but it will be either a 5" unit as the HTC One M9 or a 5.5" as the rumored One M9+ and One E9+ phablets.

HTC One E9+ (A55) is the device we kept meeting over the past few weeks. It has a 5.5" Quad HD display, runs on the MT6795 chip with an octa-core Cortex-A53 processor with 3GB of RAM, and has a 20MP rear camera - probably the same as on the HTC One M9.

HTC One E9+ is very similar with the rumored HTC One M9+ though it is made out of plastic. According to @upleaks One E9 and One E9+ will feature similar designs with plastic panels.

The One E9 phones were rumored to go official this month, but March is almost over, so they'll probably premiere in April or later.

Alleged live photos of HTC One E9 make the rounds

A gallery of alleged HTC One E9 photos made the rounds online. This is the second unscheduled appearance for the smartphone today - it leaked out in a white and gold color scheme several hours ago.

This time around, the unannounced handset posed for the camera wearing a protective case in a dark color scheme. The photos give us a closer look at the One E9’s circular camera, as well as its BoomSound stereo speakers.

Purported HTC One E9 specs include MediaTek MT6795 chipset, 5.5” QHD display, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of built-in memory. The device will boot Sense-d Android Lollipop.

The main camera of the smartphone is expected to be a 20MP unit. The familiar 4MP UltraPixel snapper will be in charge of capturing selfies.

HTC One E9 already received its TENAA certification. We won’t be surprised if the device debuts alongside HTC One M9 Plus on April 9.

More images of the purported HTC One E9 (A55) spotted online

HTC is working on a mid-range smartphone with model number A55 and likely to be released as the One E9. We reported about the expected specifications and the live images of the HTC One E9 (A55) already.

Now promotional images of the One E9 have been posted online. There’s a consistency in all the images - live, certification, and promotional leaked so far. The large camera lens at the rear will overlay a 20MP sensor.

HTC has used a 5.5-inch Quad HD resolution display and powered it with a MediaTek MT6795 chipset with octa-core 2 GHz CPU paired with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB on-board storage. In the front it will feature the 4MP UltraPixel camera for selfies.

One E9 will run the Android 5.0 Lollipop based HTC Sense 7 UI out of the box.
