Following many months of leaks, we're now probably approaching the unveiling date for Samsung's first round smartwatch. This will allegedly be called Gear A, and we've heard that it's going to be announced alongside the Galaxy Note 5. That means it should get official on August 13.
And today at a Tizen Developer Summit in India the Korean company has confirmed some specs of the Gear A. Once again, we are told that it will have a round touchscreen with 360x360 resolution.
But that's not all. The rotating bezel ring which will allow you to control the smartwatch has been acknowledged by Samsung too. Furthermore, the wearable is set to run Tizen 2.3.1.
Previous leaks also talked about the Gear A featuring an Exynos 3472 chipset with a dual-core processor and 768MB of RAM, 4GB of storage, and a 250 mAh battery. For connectivity Bluetooth 4.1 and Wi-Fi 802.11n will be in, while a handful of sensors are to be expected too, including a heart rate monitor, gyro, GPS, and barometer.
