Verizon began seeding Android 5.1 Lollipop to Motorola’s second generation Moto E. The firmware carries software version number 23.11.17.
Android 5.1 brings several user interface improvements to the Moto E (2nd gen). They include tweaked volume settings panel icons, added pull-down controls for Wi-FI access or Bluetooth devices, and increased minimum swipe distance for reduced accidental interactions.
Interruption volume control settings have also been enhanced. Factory reset protection wraps up the key highlights in the update changelog.
Verizon is roughly a month late with the Android 5.1 update for the new Moto E. The global version of the handset received the new firmware last month.
