The HTC Desire 826 (which we handled at CES) got official at the beginning of the year, and now it's almost ready to be up for grabs in India. So far, it's been out in China.
According to one Mumbai-based phone dealer, the Desire 826 will land in India in the next 2-3 days. It will go on sale priced at INR 26,200, which at the current exchange rates means about $421 or €387.
The handset boasts a 5.5-inch 1080p touchscreen, a 13 MP rear camera with LED flash, a 4 MP UltraPixel front-facing snapper, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, microSD expansion, dual-SIM support, and a 2,600 mAh battery.
It's powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 615 chipset, which has an octa-core CPU, with four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.7 GHz and another four only going up to 1 GHz. The Desire 826 runs Android 5.0.1 Lollipop.
